Split rock healing house
COMPLETION: 2025
Split Rock Healing House ā TsĆ« LhtsāĆ«ncāil Necāigekh Be Yikh ā was the largest and most complex project to date that I have been involved in, bringing together the biggest crew and marking a major milestone in scale, coordination, and accomplishment. The work merged expressive architectural intent with the strict demands of Passive House certification, requiring every detail to balance cultural meaning, high performance, and precision. The project includes a curved retaining wall that shapes the entry, five cabins adorned with unique carvings, a solarium, a sensory deprivation room, and a green roof. Complex forms, heavy timber elements, and careful material transitions all had to function within airtight, highly insulated assemblies without compromising the design. The result is a space that supports healing and community while demonstrating what can happen when craft, coordination, and purpose align.
